Entr’acte
Just outside of Silvåkra, close to the village church, lies the rectory where vicar Mortimer Aghardt lives with his wife, Elisabeth. It is a beautiful, white house made of wood, surrounded by a lush garden with fruit trees and flower beds. Elisabeth is often times seen wandering among her plants and flowers, talking to them, caring for them with intense passion. Not unlike the passion of a mother towards her children.
During the towns harvest festival, she stands in her stall with a bright smile, selling the most delicious jams and preserves. The fruits of her labour. People come from far and wide to buy her produce and to sing her praises. They applaud her and shake her hand, but they never see the hatred behind her eyes.
Children come unto me
Restless, full of spite
Absent of consequence
How are they light
Careless of toil and strife
Running, through the rows
Trample with tiny feet
Eden never grows
Bastards
Buried
low
Let
My
Flowers
Grow
Smiling with empty eyes
Welcome, step inside
Why dont we play a game
I hunt, you must hide
There is a place below
Under our house
Hide there and make no sound
Silent as a mouse
Bastards
Buried
low
Let
My
Flowers
Grow
Alla barnen läggs i säng
Varje piga varje dräng
Månen lyser när jag strör
Ben av mjöl uppå min äng
Alla barnen läggs till ro
Nattens dimma är en bro
Led dem sakta till din port
Mina blommor låt dem gro
